This great comedy podcast will be missed, as will its handsome, clever, funny host

The Second Column podcast interviewed a number of funny writers. Their episodes are linked to here.

I said goodbye this week to The Second Column, which was a podcast I co-hosted with three of my friends.

We had a lot of laughs and some terrific guests, many of whom are very funny writers. I made a list of the comedy writers we had on the show, with links to their episodes.

These are talented people who have written for TV, published books, published pieces in the country’s best magazines, won screenwriting awards, written web videos, staged comedy shows, written Conan O’Brien’s Twitter account, published funny websites, created TV shows, written best-selling books, written and sold movie scripts, created a world-class comedy theater, published cartoons and written for TV award shows, and that’s just the stuff I know about. Apologies to anyone I missed.

The comedy writers who appeared The Second Column podcast: Amy Rhodes, Brian Frazer, Andrew Hanson, Dan Donatelli, Jamie Denbo and John Ross Bowie, Iris Bahr, Jordan Likover, Sean Conroy, Justin Thomas, Alex Fernie, Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, Soren Bowie, Chris Mosier, Paul Rust, Peter Dirksen, Danielle Schneider, Matt Walsh, Jen Kirkman, Asterios Kokkinos, Neil Campbell and Jessica Glassberg.

The archives are live and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
