Read a funny essay about protest songs

G. Xavier Robillard has a funny piece in McSweeney’s today about his protest song, which is such a good protest song, he won’t even tell you what it’s about.

“You can’t hear the vocals? They are buried in the mix? Not true. The vocals are crystal clear, performed by Tuvan throat singers operating at a frequency lower than the human ear can detect. Because it is the frequency of outrage.”

If you aren’t outraged, you aren’t listening to my protest song (McSweeney’s)
